S/mileage went from smiles to tears

On December 17th, S/mileage has announced their new group name, ANGERME. The name was thought by 2nd generation member Kana Nakanishi and it is combined by two french words meaning angel and tear. Okay so, what did I think about this when I first heard about it? It felt very weird because I'm so used to the name S/mileage and to me, it just already had so much meaning to it and it was just a group name that I really liked. To be honest, I didn't even want them to change their group name at all. I think it was fine just the way it was. I understand that it was Wada and Fukuda's choice to add new members and change the group name and I'm surprised that they were even thinking of things like this but, it's just something that from a fan's perspective, it's kind of sad in a way. To end this post, I hope that ANGERME will be able to become a successful group and be a strong group.

Ladies Code to get into a tragic car accident and the aftermath of it

I originally had no intention to write about this because I'm not familiar with Ladies Code and the only show I've seen them on was After School Club but as all of you guys know, Ladies Code got into a major car accident and that led one of the members to pass away and 2 others to be in critical condition. Today, it was announced that member RiSe after a few days since the accident, has passed away. When I first saw this on facebook, I was thinking"It already happened a few days ago" because I thought it was about EunB's death. But when I figured out it was about RiSe, my eyes were just wide open. I couldn't believe it. I knew from the sites that I've read, that RiSe was in critical condition and the doctors couldn't do anything about it anymore but I was hoping that she'll survive. There was a part of me that had a feeling that she'll pass away but when that actually happened, again I couldn't believe it.

I remember watching MBC Star audition season 1 and that's how I figured out about RiSe. She wasn't the best singer but she did have something that really shined. I remember watching her audition over and over and when I figured out that she made her debut in Ladies Code, I was thinking "I remember that girl!" This is getting off topic but to wrap this up, I hope EunB and RiSe will be able to rest peacefully in heaven and watch over the remaining three members. Also, I know the company can't do anything about the weather but I hope from this tragic event, Polaris and all the entertainment companies out there will make sure their talents will be safe from any type of condition.

Berryz Koubou to Go on a Indefinite Hiatus

I know I am about a week late on this news but Berryz Koubou will go on a indefinite hiatus after their spring tour in 2015. The members have been discussing this for a year and made their decision about it. When I first heard about this at 3am in the morning, I was shocked. The people who said that they're disbanding because of their latest single was half right. They aren't my favorite group and I don't pay too much attention to them but, it still makes me sad that a group that I've known for years is going to go away. I guess I just get sad about any Hello Project group disbanding and such. And the thing that ticked me off was that people were happy and saying that they should've disbanded years ago and that they're just not needed. That really pissed me off because Berryz Koubou has their own shine to them and I know that those are just opinions but it still really pissed me off. Anyways, I hope they have a good career ahead of them and get to experience things that they couldn't while being in Hello Project.

 

                                

Music Playlist of the Month: July

I am a little late on this, but here is my music playlist of July! I feel like I've been listening to a lot of new songs that I discovered or was released recently so there will be a lot of songs that I want to share with you guys!

Kaze ni Fukarete/Juice=Juice
                   
I love how this song starts with a piano sound then it shifts to a more Scottish sound and it makes this song somewhat of a ballad but at the same time, it's up-tempo. I find that Juice=Juice songs always sound cool but in a different way each time which I think is a way that people won't get tired of their songs each time.

 I discovered this song randomly on the avex channel and I started to like this song. At first I was a little hesitant to buy this song on Itunes but it was stuck in my head so I bought it. This song is obviously has a pop-rock sound and I think the lyrics really represent their band name.

Zenryoku Pump Up/Up Up Girls( Kakko Kari)
                    
Though I don't listen to their songs that often, I thought this song was pretty good. I like how this song is a party song but it has somewhat of a idol-ish tune(I can't really explain it lol).

Cutie Panter/Love Live
                   
I honestly find a lot of the Love Live songs that they sing in the series are too girly for me but I really like the songs that they release just as an release. I like how this song has a girly sound but it's sounds cool and I just think this is one of the best love songs that I've heard.

I find this song relaxing and it's kind of nice to listen to something like this every once in a while since I listen to a lot of up-tempo dubstep music.

 When it came to Love Live songs, I only liked Maki and Umi's voice so I never really bothered to listen to a bunch of other songs but I really like song and I kind of like Rin's voice.

I can't believe I didn't like this song years ago! This is definitely a song that only the Platinum era members can sing. It's very mature and I first thought it was kind of inappropriate but when I gave it more of a listen, it's really not. ]

Sexy Zone's Upcoming Single to Only Feature 3 out of 5 members(Rant Time!!!)

  

I didn't really know how else to title this but Sexy Zone's upcoming single is only going to feature Kento Nakajima, Fuma Kikuchi and Shori Sato. The management insists that the youngest 2 members, Marius Yo and So Matsushima are not resigning. Instead according to Nakajima, they want to show a different side of Sexy Zone. 

Okay how did I react to this when I first heard about this? I did not read this thoroughly so I didn't completely understand the situation even though it was just plain simple. But as I read this news on other blogs and news sites, I started to get a little pissed about it. I mean, it's been like this since forever. But I didn't think that it would go up to the point of just featuring the main three. I haven't been following Sexy Zone lately because I haven't been liking any of their songs since Sexy Summer and I felt like this group is going down hill. At the same time, I'm assuming that the reason they didn't want to feature the other 2 is to because so the older 3 sing songs that are more mature and that's something that the management feels like they can't do with the younger 2 being in the group. 

Groups have always been unequal and they will push the most popular members. Look at Kis-My-Ft2. The main 3 members get all the spotlight but the other 4 were able to shine and even have their own unit. And Morning Musume. Right now it's Riho, Masaki, Mizuki and Sakura who are the main vocals but back in the Platinum era days, it was a lot of the times Ai and Reina occasionally Risa and Eri. Also Hey! Say! JUMP. Only Yamada had solos in Hitomi no Screen and he still gets the spotlight although it has become more equal recently.

Also I do blame the management for this especially Iijima. For those of you guys who don't know this, the groups in Johnny's are divided by factions. From what I know Sexy Zone is managed by Iijima who is known for her bad managing. Meanwhile, the groups that Julie manages are more equal from what it seems. So from what people who normally would think, Johnny-san does not manage all the groups. 

Although groups are not equal and I do hear a lot of fans complain that they should be more equal, this is so far the worst case I have ever heard when it comes to group equality. What makes me more sad about it is that Marius and So are my favorites. I feel like those two shine as much as the main three members and I hope the agency realizes that what they're doing is wrong and is making a lot of the fans upset. 

Finally what I think makes it more worse is that their new song is out on the same day as Morning Musume. I only found that out on one source and I'm hoping that it's not true since there's no information about it on their official website yet but from what I can tell, it would be most likely. I have a strong feeling that Sexy Zone's new single will not sell very well but if does sell their usual amount, the sales between Morning Musume and Sexy Zone will be rather close. But since Morning Musume's single will be Michishige's last, I have a feeling it will be pretty strong and I hope it is.
