Although in the last 12th generation audition, Tsunku saw many girls with talent and potential, he realized that the current line-up is just fine. I honestly think that they don't need to do a audition yet because their current performances are improving so dramatically and if new members were to be added, that level might go down unless they have strong performers. But at the same time, I don't want the finalists that worked so hard to make into the finals to be extremely upset and disappointed that they didn't pass like last time. Also what I find it really interesting about this audition is that it's not limited to just Japan. According to Hello Project Wiki, girls from other nationalities are allowed to audition. It's always been allowed but you pretty much have to buy your own plane ticket if you passed the application round(Which I never did whenever I did audition).
